places I visited in Kuala Lumpur {Malaysia}

This winter vacation I visited Malaysia for 12 days. I would like to share the places i visited before I actually fulfill the promise of telling you of some places to visit for Korean food delicacies^*^

KUALA LUMPUR

{a}  Batu Caves
The Batu caves are very popular  they are a home for the ancient Hindu  temple and attracts lots of people and that is why it was the first place I visited.
It is in the sate of Selangor that is on the outskirts of the KL city.
It has 272-staircases leading up to the cave. Inside the cave depending on which time of the year you visit they have some Hindu cultural celebrations,

{b} Forest Research Institute of Malaysia {FRIM}
This is the second place I visited.
It is one of the largest man made forests in the world and the only reason I went there is not
because of the Trees but I wanted to walk through the canopy walk. Which I swear I would
not have left Malaysia without visiting! As fearful as it seemed it was a thrilling experience.
The canopy walk is suspended 30 meters above ground level.

{c}China Town {PETALING STREET}
splendid!!with shops and restaurants and hawker stalls.
Me and Bradley spent  two nights there having local food and drinks it was  crowded cos many foreigners flock there to have drinks and also watch some traditional performances that take place there again depending on what time of the year you go! This time they had performances going on due to the Chinese lunar year ^*^

{d} Petronas Towers

Great areas for shopping!!It has everything in it from departmental stores to restaurants and everything!

{e}The central Market{ MARKET SQUARE}
   It is a leading crafts center in KL
Its a very nice place to shop for souvenirs.
For foreigners here at the Central Market they can get maps and help on  information about Malaysia and places to visit too.

{f} Little India @ Brickfields
Little India is a very nice place  decorated with fountains and beautiful landmarks. It also has stalls just like china Town selling souvenirs and accessories. Has lots of Indian restaurants too.

{g} KL Tower
Its a very distinctive landmark that is similar to the Korean Namsan tower It stands at a height of 421 meters.
It is the world's seventh tallest.

There are so many more places to visit in Kuala Lumpur. There are galleries and museums and there are also many cultural celebrations all round the year.
Water parks, sports and recreation places to visit.
It was a great trip for me and Bradley and we had a great time...

see you on the next blog as I  take you to the other places I visited in Malaysia. ^*^ <3

My top Korean Food!

I have been  in Korea for some time now and I have come to notice that I have a very bad habit of ordering the same kind of food. Some restaurants around my house don't even have to ask what I want!! since they already know what I am going to ask for.
This is a habit I plan to change very soon.
But before that I am just going to list down my all time favorite Korean food {at the moment!!! it is due to change}

1찜닭 {steamed chicken}
I am not sure how they make even after asking the old Korean ladies otherwise known as Ajumas {아줌마}. One thing I know for sure is that the ingredients are easy to find and it does not take too long to make.

김밥 { Kimbap}
It is very famous among the Korean people as well and it is a way of both saving time and money especially for me as student there. They have vegetarian Kimbap as well but they also have tuna kimpap {참치 김밤} which is my favorite,

탕육수 { sweet sour Pork}
Arguably, this is not Korean but Chinese but anyways I am just going to list it here since it is among the foods that I enjoy here.

 삼겹살 {Ssamkyeopsal}
 Korean BBQ  This is a meal that is very famous among the Koreans and as well as the foreigners especially when they are going out to drink.It also happens to be a very good meal to have with the family. For some restaurants like the one I had posted in the previous blog you can have as much meat as you want for a very low price.
 In Korea they mostly have it with soju. Korean wine made from rice.

돈까스  {Pork Cutlet}
This one is also originally from Japan.I did not have to learn to get used to eating it as it was just consumable. I mean I had to try and get used to having Kimchi in every meal but this was easy.
It is delicious.

Of course I enjoy other dishes here in Korea but these are among the many that I would introduce to any foreigners coming to Korea either to live or to visit.
You do not necessarily have to like them like I do.{ people are different} but you can give it a shot!!

Peace and Love
